Bursa Malaysia Mega Sale!!!!!!
Posted by pohdes @ Fri 14 Mar, 08, 11:18AM under Stock Pick

With the recent downturn, lots of good bargain can be seen in Bursa Malaysia. Below is the few stocks I'll recommend a buy:

1. Genting - Recent price down create a good time to buy in.

2. CYMAO - Cyclical business, currently in downturn, stock valued at RM2.00, current price only RM0.60. Good to hold for 5 years.

3. MAMEE - Always good dividend.

And if you notice, the below few stock is really good stock to hold for long term as they don't care on politics factor and global downturn not really affecting them:

1. PADINI - Unless they screw up by themselves, if not, nothing will stop the stock from growing.

2. BONIA - Same with PADINI.

3. RESORTS - Offload Star Cruise make their account looks very healthy.

TOPGLOV - How good is it?

Currently, I'm not really interested with company that rely heavily on raw materials on commodities list. However, since a friend request on a review for TOPGLOV, I had do some study on it.

Looking at the 3 years performance of TOPGLOV, it is fantastic. The net turnover and net profit of the company has been consistent. It also has a high ROE of > 20% for the past 3 years.

For the past 3 quarter, the revenue and profit is very stable with a consistents EPS. Kudos to the management for such a good result. This is definitely a good company.

Now, lets look at the more details QoQ results, the Profit before tax has been increase by approx. ~ 30% ( ( 30,410 - 22,906 ) / 22,906 ) * 100%.

NTA per share stood at RM2.051 which is quite ok.

Yesterday's price of the stock which cost around RM5.70.

With the statistic, it is a good company to invest for long term. Most probably hold the stock for 5 years. But if I would to choose, I'll choose SUPERMX for its lower PER and lower price too.

TOPGLOV can be seens as like the "MAYBANK" in the rubber downstream product sector. And I'll buy SUPERMX as it is like the "PBBANK" in the same sector.

However, this is my opinion, the choice is yours. :)

Kamdar - Worth to buy?

Kamdar, a well known retail store in Malaysia selling textile and fabric materials, which is also into import and export of textile and fabric materials to wholesalers. The stock seems to be overlook by analyst and most of the investor.

From the number, it seems like the business getting bad YoY. This is nothing new as business has been bad for most of the sector during year 2004 to year 2006.

We could see that it is improving in year 2007 but the stock price has not been moving.

From QoQ data, we can see that it has started to turn into black compare with previous quarter.

It is currently trading at RM0.50 which is a good bargain as the NTA of the stock stood at RM1.05 per share. This means that you buy a stock worth RM1.05 with the price of RM0.50.
